Purbeck Sports Centre wanted to make better use of an irregularly booked squash court at their site in Wareham.

The space was split into 2 areas, the ground floor to be used as a Functional Training Zone, and the first floor soon to be converted into a multi-use dance and class studio.

The scheme become complex after initial structural investigations highlighted that the existing structure was not suited to take the additional load, so an impressive steel structure was designed and installed to create the desired spaces.

Working with the team at the Sports Centre, disruption to students and members was kept to a minimum during the 10 weeks on site.
